While visual storytelling can help make your brand stand apart from the competition, VBM is presenting creative resources to support digital content, not to be confused with traditional brand marketing agencies that provide collateral. The VBM strategy is to shift JSMM into a stronger category of creative support to enhance the digital experience for clients across social media platforms and compete with brands in providing a more dynamic and visual storytelling experience.
Visuals are memorable and effective because they help people process, understand and retain information more quickly. According to 3M Corporation, 90 percent of information transmitted to the brain is visual, and visuals are actually processed up to 60,000 times faster in the brain than text alone. Seventy percent of marketing professionals also report that video converts better than any other medium.
Additionally, videos help enhance the user’s experience to keep them looking at your content longer. It’s estimated that Internet users spend up to 88 percent more time on websites that implement video than those without, and landing pages that include videos have an 80 percent conversion rate.
