JSMM Client Frank Ancona Honda Featured in Kansas City Star for Participation in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program
This past December, JSMM helped client Frank Ancona Honda to be featured on the front page of the Kansas City Star’s Drive Section for its support in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. The Toys for Tots program aims to collect and distribute new, unwrapped toys to children in need during the holiday season. JSMM helped curate cause marketing social media content for Frank Ancona Honda to help make the campaign a success. This was Frank Ancona Honda’s first year participating as a local sponsor for the program and it was able to collect over 225 toys for local area children in need.

We used Frank Ancona Honda’s commitment to charity as a stepping stone in creating the social media content. Frank Ancona Honda is committed to philanthropic charities that support kids and families. It has donated and helped fundraise for charities like City Union Mission, the Ronald McDonald House, Catholic Charities, the Phoenix Family, KidsTLC and more.
We also used poverty statistics to validate the need to support the Toys for Tots program. Currently, there are over 28,000 children living in poverty in the Kansas City metro area who can’t afford to have gifts this holiday season. In the social media content, we focused on these statistics as an inspiration to help children in need this holiday season. The hope of the program is that a new toy can help spread the message of hope and to persevere through these hard times.
Frank Ancona Honda was featured in the Kansas City Star earlier this year, in October, for its support in a mobile fundraising campaign for Great Plains SPCA, Kansas City’s most unique and comprehensive no kill animal welfare agency. JSMM partnered Frank Ancona Honda with RAZ Mobile, a fundraising company that helps nonprofits of all sizes engage and fundraise via supporters’ phones, to help Great Plains SPCA achieve its goal.
