Valerie Jennings, Board Member of Twenty30CEO, Recaps Grow Faster KC: Networking as a Platform Event

Valerie Jennings, CEO of JSMM & VBM and board member of Twenty30CEO, attended Grow Faster KC: Networking as a Platform along with board members and guests from Athena League and Gen KC on May 21, 2015. The three organizations brought influential speakers from both coasts and Kansas City to participate on a panel about the power of networking. These powerful women shed light on their paths to success and just how vital it is to network and create individual journeys. The speakers were Denise Kruse, Jennifer Shaw, Lesa Mitchell and Nnena Ukuku.  Eze Redwood, co-founder of Twenty30CEO, moderated.

Networking as a Platform gave attendees the opportunity to learn about how to accelerate their brand’s growth by networking and were also taught advanced networking techniques by successful professionals and seasoned entrepreneurs. Attendees were also given insight on how to build and establish relationships with high profile influencers and mentors across the country without ever having to leave the comfort of their own city, Kansas City.

About the speakers:

Denise Kruse is the CEO of AdamsGabbert, a professional services firm that improves IT strategy and works in Kansas City.

Jennifer Shaw founded Bella Minds and NewYorkTechWomen. She currently resides in New York City.
Lesa Mitchell is the founder of Networks for Scale and at the moment works on advising boards ranging from from international non-profits to global venture capital groups. She works globally.

Nnena Ukuku is a Silicon Valley entrepreneurship attorney and was also featured as one of Forbes 2012 Women Who Are Changing The World! Currently, she works in Silicon Valley.

Overall, the event was a huge success, as it hopes to inspire young Kansas City entrepreneurs to bring even more innovation and expansion into this amazing city.
