Cerner Corporation holds monthly marketing community meetings with expert influencers and game-changers at their Innovation Campus. This month, they asked Valerie Jennings, CEO of Jennings Social Media & MarTech, to speak about women in tech, integrated campaigns and what it takes to create valuable, high quality content.
As an early adopter, entrepreneur and digital marketer, Valerie Jennings, CEO and founder of Jennings Social Media & MarTech, is frequently asked questions about her successes, both as a woman in the tech field and as a fearless leader for marketers of all backgrounds.


Most recently, Jennings was asked to speak at a Cerner marketing community meeting, a monthly event that invites leaders in the marketing world to speak with Cerner marketers. This month, the meeting focused on established personal brands and thought leadership in the industry.

As an early adopter of social media and a digital disruptor, Jennings was able to deliver insight on creating thought-provoking, high quality content and strategy. “If you are truly a great journalist and storyteller, it shouldn’t matter what industry you’re writing for,” Jennings said. “You should be able to tell that story. So you have to be smart.”

And when it comes to disruption, Jennings believes that thought and industry leaders have to break the mold in order to create a better system. She said, “You have to be brave. You have to take risks. And you have to disrupt.”
