CASE STUDY

118 Leads Through a Restaurant Lead Generation Campaign Using Paid Social and Email

This restaurant lead generation case study shows how a limited-time 50% off appetizer promotion became a measurable customer acquisition funnel rather than a one-time advertising offer. The campaign turned social media interest into identifiable leads the restaurant could continue reaching after the initial interaction.
JSMM connected Meta Lead Ads, a website conversion path, coupon delivery and Mailchimp email follow-up to create multiple opportunities for customers to claim the offer while giving the brand a stronger system for capturing and re-engaging prospective guests.
The campaign generated 118 Meta leads and 111 tracked website conversion results, while the follow-up email achieved a 55.2% open rate and 3.5% click rate.

CLIENT CONTEXT

Restaurant promotions can create short-term attention, but the larger opportunity is turning that interest into a customer relationship the business can continue developing.

For this campaign, the client offered customers 50% off an appetizer in exchange for their contact information. Rather than relying on a single coupon ad and hoping customers remembered the offer, the campaign connected Meta, the website and email into a paid social lead-generation strategy designed to capture and continue nurturing customer interest.

The objective was to give customers a simple path to receive the promotion while building a first-party contact list the brand could use to reinforce the offer after sign-up.

BUSINESS PROBLEM

The challenge was turning a promotional offer into measurable customer action instead of treating ad impressions or clicks as the end result.

The campaign needed to:

A promotion can generate attention and still lose potential customers between the initial ad, sign-up and eventual store visit. JSMM therefore designed the campaign around the complete path from offer discovery to lead capture and follow-up.

OUR STRATEGY

JSMM created two complementary conversion paths rather than relying on a single acquisition mechanism.

The first used Meta’s native Lead Gen forms, allowing Facebook and Instagram users to submit their name and email without leaving the platform. Reducing the number of steps between seeing the offer and claiming it created a lower-friction path for social audiences.

The second campaign directed users through the client’s website conversion path. After completing the sign-up process, customers reached a custom thank-you page where the conversion could be tracked and the coupon code delivered.

JSMM then connected both acquisition paths to Mailchimp email follow-up. Everyone who signed up through either Meta or the website received a reminder about the 50% off appetizer offer, including information on how to redeem it in-store.

The result was a more connected customer journey: paid media generated interest, lead capture converted that interest into first-party data and email gave the brand another opportunity to move customers toward action.

THE OUTCOME

The campaign demonstrated how a relatively simple restaurant promotion could become a measurable lead-generation system when paid media, conversion tracking and email follow-up worked together.

Meta’s native lead campaign captured 118 leads, while the website conversion campaign recorded 111 tracked results through the thank-you-page experience. The campaign also sent a reminder message to the collected audience, with 207 emails sent/received per campaign report.

The email produced a 55.2% open rate, showing strong attention from people who had already expressed interest in the offer. A 3.5% click rate provided an additional signal that recipients continued interacting with the promotion after the initial sign-up.

Rather than ending the customer journey at an ad click, the campaign created a connected system to capture customer information, track coupon delivery and reinforce the offer through direct follow-up.
